Deb Karban

Deb gives thanks and praise to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and has been blessed to have been a part of Christian Day Child Academy (CDCA) since 1976. She and her husband moved to MN from SD after graduating from South Dakota State University. CDCA was her first teaching position at Christus Victor Church in Apple Valley. JaNette & Lloyd Flogstad founded the school in 1971 and she is so thankful to them for their example of faith and obedience to the Lord.

Deb is also very thankful for the many wonderful teachers that she has worked with over the years from whom she has learned so much about teaching. Her heart’s desire is to share the love of Jesus with children that they may “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 3:18 In 1999 CDCA moved to its’ present location at Minnesota Valley Church where she became assistant director and later director.

Deb is now privileged to see some of her former students’ children attending CDCA. Her three grown children and now two grandchildren are CDCA alumni. She is reminded of Psalm 100:5 – “For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.” In addition to having the opportunity to work at the school, Deb enjoys being with her seven grandchildren, family and friends. Bible study, reading, and gardening (her farm roots are still strong). “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2: 10

To God alone be the glory!
