† Introduction:
Christian Day Child Academy (CDCA) is an educational preschool where children can learn, discover and create in a Christ-centered environment. The goal of the school is to enrich children's early learning experiences with Biblical truths which provides a strong foundation for future education. We believe that God is the source of wisdom, and His truth (the Bible) is the foundation of all learning. Our approach to learning is a balance of free-choice time at learning centers and structured group activities. Our facility includes a large, bright classroom and a fenced-in outside play area.
Every child is special and we value their uniqueness. We desire that each child would develop a sense of self-worth as a person created in God's image and an understanding of the love that Jesus Christ has for each of us.
CDCA was founded by JaNette Flogstad in 1971. In 1999 CDCA became a ministry of Minnesota Valley Church and continues to uphold the school's founding principles.
† Objectives:
-
To provide a comprehensive learning program that stimulates spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical and social development. We desire that like the child, Jesus, our children will "grow in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with God and man." (Luke 2:52)

† Parent Comments:
"Love is the first word that comes to our minds when we think of CDCA, and our son's preschool experience. There is no doubt that our son loves school, his friends, and his teachers. Each day we see him beam as he enters the classroom, and we see the same love beam from the faces of his teachers. How thankful are we to have our son taught and loved by his teachers. Last spring, my husband and I had an opportunity to move out of state where my husband's company is based. We found many exciting reasons to move, and equally as many wonderful reasons to stay. After listing the reasons and prayerfully considering our options we decided to stay. And, there seemed to be one particular reason to stay that we feel God was putting heavily on our hearts. It was our love for this preschool. Now, almost a year later, we see clearly why we were to stay. Our son loves his school, and has a heart full of love for his God. This is the greatest gift we could want for our son! Thank you for showing him, through your lessons, your words, and your actions - God's love!" - Karin Gunderson
"Our family is so thankful for Christian Day, the teachers, the care and concern and the Biblical teaching. Our son loves to go to school and asks every day "do I go to school today?". Thank you for loving our children and helping us to teach them about Jesus and the Bible." - Debbie Nelson
"You are such integral parts of our daughter's young faith journey and I wish to commend you for your hard work, love, patience and living as "a servant's heart" should. Thank you for the fine examples you are setting and for lighting up our daughter's face each Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. I wish you heartfelt and abundant blessings; both personally and professionally". - Kathy Bunkers
"What a wonderful year it has been! Our son has enjoyed going to school and we have also had the pure pleasure of watching him grow - not only in the knowledge of the world he lives in, but in the knowledge of a Heavenly Father who loves him. It has been such a blessing to send all of our children here." - Marney Roethle
"From the moment I walked in to CDCA and met you and the other teachers I knew that the Lord had brought us here for a reason. What a peace to know there are caring teachers guiding and helping to shape my daughter each week. She has enjoyed preschool immensely and I know in large part it is because of the nurturing atmosphere you have provided. Thank you for all that you do on behalf of these children." - Marie Lindloff
"Thank you very much for all you've done this year with our children. They have
had a wonderful beginning here at Christian Day Child Academy. Thanks for
caring for and praying for each of our children through out the year. We
appreciate you very much!" - Parents of the Tues./Thurs. 3 year old class
(2008/2009)
† Statement of Faith:
- We believe the Bible, the 66 books of the Old & New Testament, to be the inspired Word of God, infallible, inerrant, the supreme and final authority for all faith and life.
- We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe that God created the world by His spoken Word and He created man in His image.
- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His atoning death, His bodily resurrection and His bodily return in power and glory.
- We believe man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost; only those who put their faith in Jesus Christ alone and believe He is the Son of God can be saved.
- We believe salvation is the gift of God given to man by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose substitutionary death on the cross paid the penalty for man’s sin.
- We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to convict man, indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer for godly living and service.
- We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers through our common faith in Jesus Christ.
